RV Jazz Big Band

With fine facilities at The Grand & The Atrium available, the Big Band Project will compliment RVJ&B's programme of monthly jazz gigs and Annual Jazz Festival.

We want to bring together musicians who:

want to broaden their musical skills & experience in a big band format, or
want to share their talent with others.
Skill Sharing will be a focus for a new Big Band. Younger & older musicians will learn from each other, and build confidence & technique before getting a real buzz out performing for live audiences.

Paul Rigby is our Big Band Project leader. Paul has a massive reputation for developing jazz talent in the North West. He’s happy to welcome more musicians, irrespective of age, musical background, or choice of instrument. Rhythm, reeds or brass, a Ribble Valley Big Band will give a life changing experience to musicians! One key point though... more trumpeters & trombonists are needed to make the rhythm and reed sections happy.

Big Band rehearsal sessions are at Low Moor Club (BB7 2LS) every Monday evening, 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
